Shampoo Bar

Sorry, this item has sold.

We are raising the Bar! Due to the massive amounts of requests from a number of customers, The Shampoo Bar has been finally been created. After a lot of experiments on friends and family, the formula is now perfected and adequately cured.

There are three formulas to choose from, Ravishing Rosemary, Beautifully Blended and Unscented Pure and Gentle (does not contain any of the essential oils described below).

This Shampoo Bar is made with only the best quality oils and the finest therapeutic grade essential oils.

Olive oil has been used due its amazing ability to provide strength and shine due to the known fact it is rich in vitamins A, E and antioxidants. This helps protect the keratin in every strain of hair locking in needed moisture.

Coconut oil is predominantly made up of lauric acid that is easily absorbed deep into the hair shaft reducing protein loss and keeping your hair looking healthy. Organic Coconut Oil has been added in just the right amounts making this shampoo bar especially effective for dry hair types.

Reasons to change to Bar Shampoo:

The same as liquid, just in a solid form. They lather up quickly with less risk of using to much product, so less waste. Besides to much product can cause scalp problems. Using a bar shampoo greatly decreases that risk.

*Reduce waste

*All natural

*No Parabens

*Naturally sulfate free

*NO chemicals added for suds such as SLS that can dry out hair.

Shampoo Bars are way more concentrated than liquid shampoo. These little bars go a long way.

Shampoo Bars are great for travel; no risks of spills.

These bars are dual purpose shampoo bars that can also be used as a body bar.

Lavender essential oil:

Lavender oil can speed up hair growth. Knowing that lavender oil has properties that can generate the growth of cells and reduce stress, researchers have found that this oil was able to generate faster hair growth.

It also has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, which can improve scalp health.

Peppermint essential oil:

Peppermint oil can cause a cold, tingling feeling when it increases circulation to the area it’s applied to. This can help promote hair growth during the anagen (or growing) phase of hair growth.

One study found that peppermint oil increased the number of follicles, follicle depth, and overall hair growth.

Rosemary essential oil:

If you want to improve both hair thickness and hair growth, rosemary oil is a great choice thanks to its ability to improve cellular generation.

According to one study, rosemary oil performed as well as minoxidil, a common hair growth treatment, but with less scalp itching as a side effect.

Tea tree essential oil:

Tea tree oil has powerful cleansing, antibacterial, and antimicrobial properties. When used topically, it can help unplug hair follicles and increase hair growth.

A review in 2015 found tea tree is commonly used in anti-dandruff treatment products. When applied to the scalp, it's purported to enhance the health of the hair follicles and, in turn, promote hair growth (as well as protect against hair loss).

Wax Build-Up:

Shampoo bars tend to be waxier than their bottled alternatives. Shampoo bars contain higher amounts of saponified oils that react with water and create a waxy consistency. This layer of wax can stay on hair strands, weighing it down over time. To avoid this drawback, experts recommend rinsing your hair once or twice a week using an apple cider vinegar rinse. The acidic nature of the vinegar helps cut the alkalinity of wax, removing the waxy coating and allowing hair to breathe.

Apply bar directly to hair or to avoid excessive tangling of the hair rub the shampoo bar between your hands to create a soapy lather. Apply the lather to hair using your palms just like you would a liquid shampoo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the conditioner bars have any coconut oil added to them?

No, the conditioner bars do not have any coconut oil added to them. Due to the rise in awareness of coconut allergies, the molds used to make the conditioner bars are used specifically for conditioner bars. There is no chance of coconut oil getting into the conditioner bar.

Due to the nature of the products, I cannot accept returns. Please do notify me if you have any problems with your order.

Care instructions

Your soap bars and conditioner bars all require a little special care. To extend the life of your bars, place them away from water on a soap dish with drains when not in use. This allows the bar to dry out completely in between uses.

Sizing details

Since the items are handmade and hand cut, sizing varies. Please see the individual product description for more accurate sizing.

Can you make soap without lye?

This is the most common question. The answer is no, I cannot make soap without sodium hydroxide (lye). To make real soap, lye is needed to bring the oils and the water together. No worries though because all the lye is cooked out of the soap during the soaponification process so it is completely safe to use.

Do all the soaps you sell have goat milk?

To allow for a variety not all the soaps on the site contain goat milk. Please see the individual listings to find the ingredients for each bar.

Are all your soaps you sell vegan?

No, some of our homemade soaps contain goat milk therefore they are not vegan. Please see each individual listing for ingredients.

This shampoo bar is wonderful! It smells lovely and leaves my hair feeling clean and shiny. I do a apple cider vinegar rinse once a week to prevent build up, but this bar has never left my hair weighed down or feeling greasy. I would definitely buy this again!
